Le Fleuve (2003) directed by Mama Keita
This is a very bad film ladies and gentlemen. Kindly avoid it at all costs. I had to endure torture in form of watching it as during a film festival I was seated in the middle and there was no way I could leave the cinema hall. It is one of those films laden with violence, love story and some preaching. The worst thing about The River directed by Mama Keita is that it is through unplanned packaging it is made to look like a road movie which happens in Africa. One more thing some people might it find hard to bring down their throats the bad manner in which some of African officials have been portrayed in a negative light. Its musical score is OK and other technical credits are just below average. Watch it only if you are a fan of Stomy Bugsy otherwise avoid it like mad cow disease.
